School of Pharmacy
The School of Pharmacy at Pacific University offers a three-year curriculum leading to the degree Doctor of Pharmacy. The School is located in Hillsboro, Oregon in a new state-of-the-art Health Professions building. Pacific's other health professional programs at the new Health Professions Campus provide a rich and diverse learning environment. Developing opportunities for student interaction and collaboration is a focus of the faculties from the different disciplines.
The mission of the School of Pharmacy is to prepare students to provide competent and compassionate pharmaceutical care for a diverse population in a changing healthcare environment. The program is dedicated to exemplary student-centered education, fostering professionalism, scholarship and high ethical standards with a focus on integration of knowledge and critical thinking.
As part of their education, students complete experiential components of the curriculum year-long throughout their first and second didactic years with the third year being devoted entirely to advanced clinical experience.
Schools and colleges of pharmacy are accredited by the Accreditation Council on Pharmacy Education, ACPE. Pacific University School of Pharmacy was granted Candidate status in June of 2007 and we are continuing the process necessary for consideration of full accreditation status.
